How a Metal Urn Vault Protects a Cremation
Urn Underground

A cremation urn buried without a vault is exposed directly to the soil environment. Over time, moisture seeps in through the ground, soil pressure compresses against the urn walls, and shifting earth can displace or damage a container that was not designed to withstand those forces. A metal urn vault provides a rigid, sealed outer shell that absorbs those loads and keeps the urn intact inside.

CMV Fabrication's metal urn vaults are fabricated with continuously welded seams that eliminate the pinhole pathways moisture would otherwise exploit over years of ground contact. The powder coat finish adds a corrosion-resistant surface layer. Together, the material strength, sealed construction, and protective coating create a cremation vault that maintains its integrity over the extended timelines that burial protection requires.
