Why Production Methods Matter in Prototype Fabrication

A prototype built with shortcut methods may look correct but fail to predict how the production version will actually perform. Differences in edge quality between hand-cut and laser-cut parts, differences in springback behavior between a manual brake and a CNC brake, and differences in weld characteristics between informal tack-ups and production weld procedures can all produce a prototype that passes evaluation but does not represent what the production run will deliver.

CMV Fabrication avoids this gap by running every prototype through the production process. The same laser, the same brake, and the same welding procedures are used on the prototype that will be used on the production order. An approved prototype from CMV Fabrication validates both the part design and the manufacturing process that will reproduce it at volume.
