Aluminum's lower melting point and higher thermal conductivity mean it absorbs and distributes heat faster than steel during cutting and welding. A laser setting or weld parameter calibrated for steel will overheat aluminum, causing warping or burn-through. Forming is similarly affected because aluminum work-hardens differently, and bending it on tooling set up for steel can produce cracking at the bend radius.
CMV Fabrication addresses these differences with dedicated setups for aluminum work. Laser parameters, press brake tooling, and welding procedures are configured for aluminum's specific behavior, not adapted from steel settings on the fly.
